January 1, 2014 – Beginning A Year of Gratitude

I’ve been clicking on links posted on Facebook and Twitter. A few of them linked to a video about the photo journal site 365 Project, describing the effect of taking a picture everyday of something that makes you happy. Sometimes I take my wonderful life and surroundings for granted, so I thought I’d try it … except I’m a terrible photographer. Words are my medium. So, here goes : every day I will post a short description of something that made me happy or for which I was grateful that day.

2014-01-01_16.56.22January 1, 2014: I am happy there are huge red mushrooms in Minecraft. I had fun today building one into a small house – not to mention enjoying just taking it easy today. A good start to the new year.

Since it the first day of the new year, I’ll do to two-fer today. I am grateful that I have a year to look forward to. in which I’m planning to write three novels this year. Ambitious given the intricacies of my stories, but doable.

What are you grateful for today?
